Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor and Water Management Specialist

Salary Range: £28,000 – £34,000 per annum

Location: Manchester Area

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legionella Risk Assessor and Water Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the effective management and implementation of water management and energy services, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough risk assessments in accordance with the ACOP L8 / HSG 274 and HTM 04-01 guidelines.
  • Extracting information from site reports and risk assessments to facilitate accurate quotations.
  • Managing the delivery of appointed works to meet expected KPIs.
  • Assisting in the execution of specified works and providing technical guidance as needed.
  • Training and mentoring staff to support their professional development.
  • Generating defect reports and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients at all levels.
  • Specifying and project managing remedial works related to legionella and water services.
  • Producing and updating profit and loss statements for managed teams and tasks.
  • Scheduling all works efficiently and effectively.
  • Providing technical advice and guidance on HSE’s ACOP L8 / HSG 274 Parts 1 to 3.
  • Ensuring compliance with Legionella Control Association requirements.
  • Coordinating and supervising in-house and on-site contractor activities.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • P901 / W265 certification or equivalent.
  • A full UK driving license.

Skills/Experience:

Essential:

  • Experience conducting legionella risk assessments to level 3/4.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as word processing and spreadsheet packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal, management, and organisational skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of current legislation and guidance related to legionella control and water quality management.
  • Familiarity with HSE’s ACOP L8 / HSG 274 / HTM 04-01.
  • Understanding of Legionella Control Association Membership requirements.
  • Awareness of health and safety protocols and safe working practices.

Desired:

  • Previous experience and successful delivery of similar roles.
  • Experience in sampling and dosing of CHW and LTHW circuits.
