Water and energy compliance specialist GENEX has appointed three new engineers as part of its expansion programme.
Two of the trio will join the completely new remedial department, while the other joins the risk assessment team.
Jordan Senior, who has more than 15 years’ experience in the water industry, is living up to his name and has been appointed senior risk assessor and will be carrying out legionella risk assessments. A member of the Water Management Society and expert at risk-assessing complex systems including cooling towers and health care premises, his previous roles have seen him install water systems, help build a team of legionella consultants and train new recruits.
Qualified industrial plumber Ryan Storey joins the new remedial department and will undertake industrial remedial works flagged up during the risk assessments. With NVQ level 3s in heating and ventilation and manual metal arc welding, he has worked with a major international civils contractor on hot and cold systems, air handling units and chilled pipework.
In his 12-year career he has also worked on installing underground mains gas and water systems, extracting gas from landfill sites, compressed air installation and installing pumps into gas and leachate walls as well as commissioning heating and testing pipework systems. He has also supervised tank cleans and chlorinations to combat legionella, carrying out remedial works and removing dead legs.
He is joined in the remedial team by Mitchell Barker, a plumbing technician who has worked in the residential industry on innovative, factory produced modular homes. His role there included installing bathrooms, radiators, hot water cylinders and hydroboxes, part of an air source heat pump system, and pressure testing the modules to ensure they were leak-free. He was also involved in training new colleagues.
