Established in 1964, Derwent Living is a not for profit organisation that offers the full range of property management services across residential and student sectors. The Derwent Living Group manage over 14,000 properties and the group has a financially strong asset base. Derwent fm provides the full spectrum of support services to student, commercial and public sector property.

Project:

To provide total Legionella Control and Management in accordance with HSE’s ACoP L8 and the Legionella Control Association to several large residential student villages across UK.

General description:

As part of this professional service we were commissioned to provide a comprehensive water management regime which is both accredited by the Legionella Control Association and compliant with HSE’s ACoP L8.

These services comprise of:

Provision of detailed and accredited legionella risk.

Legionella, TVC and pseudomonas bacterial analysis

Design installation and management of 4No Chlorine Dioxide water treatment plants

Clean and chlorination of domestic water storage systems and associated down services

Training to both site management and clients operatives

Design, configuration and management of GENEX’s records for buildings to allow client data input, contract review and auditing

Closed circuit testing, analysis and treatment
